Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.

A shopping trip has been arranged for Sunday in Liverpool, my usual location for retail therapy. Top of my list of things to buy is a bomber or Harrington Jacket.
Topshop...
Harrington Jackets were first mad popular when Elvis Presley wore the Baracuta G9 (the same model as all the Harrington Jackets shown above) in his 1958 film 'King Creole'. However they became popular in the UK among skinheads and mods in the 60's, also in the late 70's and early 80's with the mod revival.
In music, Irish band Two Door Cinema Club released a new song on BBC Radio 1 last night entitled 'Changing Of Seasons' was produced by French teenager Madeon and is part of a three song EP to be released on the 30th of September. Listen to the track below.
Ok, I'm ready for it to be winter now, I want to be able to layer up and wrap up warm, I want to be able to go outside in chunky knits and jackets and boots. Boots. Whilst scanning the internet for pieces for previous posts, one thing I have come across is loads and loads of boots. Whether it's Chelsea, Vagabond or Platform, here are my top 10 picks.
This Pair have been on my wishlist ever since i saw them and are on my list for the next thing to buy.
On the music side of things, LA band Haim have release a video for their new Single 'The Wire'. The video sees the 3 sisters break the hearts of some comically pathetic men. The track is from the band's debut album, 'Days Are Gone' due to be released on the 30th of September. Watch the video below
After looking at my past few posts I have come to some kind of realisation that I am somewhat of a Topshop addict. My addiction has been fueled this week by a new collection called 'This is England', the inspiration being the 2006 film of the same name directed by Shane Meadows and starring Stephen Graham and Joe Gilgun, the film depicts the life of young skinheads in Manchester in 1983.
The Topshop collection focuses on creating boyish silhouettes to give a gritty, vintage look. Below are my favorites from the collection.
My Favorite bits of the collection are the A-Line skirts, they're cute and look great when paired with a Fluffy knit and Ankle Boots. I also love the chunky chain Jewelry which can really add something to an outfit.
In music news, In an Interview with Rolling Stone magazine Jake Bugg confessed that his 2nd studio album is nearly finished and may be released before the end of this year. Jake Bugg's self titled debut album was released in October 2012, and reached number one in the UK charts, earlier this year he was nominated for 'Best British Breakthrough Act' at the BRIT awards. Listen to his remastered Rick Rubin release of the single 'Broken' from his debut album above.
Leather jackets are for sure a staple piece that have earned their place in the wardrobes of men and women everywhere, even so, I never fail to be impressed by the variety of leather jackets that are available on the high street, and this season is no exception in fact i would say that this season i have seen the most variety due to leather jackets fitting into the current nostalgic vintage feel that has taken the catwalk and the high street by storm. I believe that leather jackets are a timeless classic so I therefore allow my budget to increase because they're so versatile and I'll defiantly (hopefully) get my money's worth.
Starting unusually with what River Island have to offer, I rarely shop at River Island but was surprised when I took a liking to their biker jackets after i saw them on Asos...
From this leather lesson I have learned that although some of the prices may be painful and at times eye watering, if you shop around and even look in places you would normally look you might be surprised by what you find. I'm not sure if you'll ever find a good quality bargain but I don't think I'd ever pay anything over £200 for a Leather Jacket.
Onto music news, in the early hours of this morning Arctic Monkeys official twitter page released the video for 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?'. The video, directed by Nabil shows a drunken Alex stumbling through dark London streets on his way to find a girl named Stephanie who is eager to see him if you know what I mean. Turns out that Alex was knocking at the wrong house, maybe you should have stayed in the pub with the rest of the band Al. Watch the video below.
Arctic Monkeys 5th studio album entitled 'AM' is out on the 9th of September.
New York Street Style is known for being the coolest, edgiest and the best 'not trying' look in the world. It's all about Beanies, jeans and boots. So, to celebrate the greatness of New York street style, in this post I'll be doing my best to create my own looks straight from the high street.
To finish, Mumford and Sons' new video for their latest single 'Hopeless Wanderer' from the number one album 'Babel' has been dubbed the 'perfect music video' by critics everywhere and shows that the country rock boys from London don't take themselves too seriously (watch their video below)
The video begins by looking like a classic Mumford video, the usual countryside/farm setting with what looks like the band members in their normal folk get up. However, as look closely and as the video progresses you soon realise that it is not in fact Mumford and sons that are featured in their own video. The band enlisted the help of comic actors, former Saturday Night Live members Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte to play frontman Marcus Mumford and Bassist Ted Dwayne. Jason Bateman (30 Rock and Aressted Development) stars as the bands banjo player Winston Marshall and Ed Helms (The Office) plays multi musically talented Ben Lovett. The video currently has over 4 million hits of Youtube and was directed by Sam Jones
