Cut It Short

Less than a week until I go on holiday and the countdown has most definitely begun. I have been mentally packing my suitcase and trying to figure out what I am still in need of. As always, the list is endless and the price is mounting. However one of the essential things that I'm lacking is a good pair of shorts.

I've always struggled to find shorts that suit me and one's that I like, I also refuse to pay the same price for shorts that I would for jeans (is half the material, half the price too much to ask?). Despite my effort to try and keep a tight budget the lure of certain shops (American Apparel) was too much to handle, their tailored shorts are an absolute must have this summer and I'm sure I'll find some way to squeeze them into my suitcase.

American Apparel
Medium Wash High Waisted Jean Cut Off Shorts
£52
(Definitely over budget)
I love love love high waisted shorts, perfect with crop tops.
American Apparel
Denim Tap Shorts
£42

Anyway, taking my head out of the clouds and into reality, here are some equally gorgeous and more affordable shorts.
Topshop
Mulberry Lace Shorts
£34
Anything with mulberry in the name is sure to be fabulous

Topshop
MOTO Black Shorts
£30

Missguided
Fantina Premium Baroque Shorts
£24.99
I love these shorts, but with my track record I think my best bet is to try shorts on before I buy them.

After searching and searching I've come to the conclusion that tailored, fitted, high waisted shorts are my favourite, I think I might have to invest in the Topshop MOTO black shorts and the Urban Outfitters Cooperative welt pocket pin-up shorts. I will report back to you after my shopping trip to the Trafford centre on Sunday.

So, throw on your shorts, get down to the beach and turn up the music
